Firefighter Wives Association
is here to help!

FFWA is based in the greater Fall River, Massachusetts and is a 501(c)(3) charity that focuses its assistance in the local community.

FFWA’s main goal is to provide assistance to those whose lives have been detrimentally affected by fires.

Our main purpose is to aid victims whose homes, personal property, and life essentials, such as food and clothing that have been destroyed or extensively damaged. The organization commences assistance after the initial offerings from the Red Cross have ended and the displaced families need further assistance.

After a fire, most displaced families have lost everything that they own and are left alone to figure out how to rebuild their lives after the emergency Red Cross services have finished. The Red Cross services only last a few days, which is what prompted FFWA to organize. FFWA recognized the gap between emergency services and victims resuming their normal lives. In order to fill this gap, FFWA provides displaced families with gently used and sometimes new clothing and if monetary donations are received, financial assistance.

The FFWA is completely operated by volunteers who donate their time and money to support the organization’s purpose to provide assistance to those who are affected by fires and firefighters families affected by loss of income due to line of duty illness or injury.
